A Tribute to Wilt Chamberlain - Public mural in Center City Philadelphia

Spanning a 33’ x 60’ stucco wall, this mural offers a visual tribute to the early life and athletic journey of basketball legend Wilt Chamberlain. Located at 1243 Vine Street, the piece traces his beginnings as a high school track athlete and his rise to prominence playing for two notable basketball teams. To deepen the narrative, I invited Wilt’s sister to contribute a personal letter reflecting on his formative years—featured to the left of the imagery. The mural blends portraiture, storytelling, and historical reverence to honor one of Philadelphia’s most iconic sports figures.
