Corner view of 'Who Makes Things Grow?' mural in South Philadelphia

Who Makes Things Grow? - Public mural in South Philadelphia

Stretching across two sides of a ShopRite supermarket, this expansive mural spans a 24’ x 430’ concrete block wall and celebrates the journey of food from soil to table. Developed around the theme of growth and nourishment, the narrative unfolds through a series of characters—planting seeds, harvesting crops, and ultimately gathering for a communal banquet. The artwork invites viewers to reflect on the cycles of nature, the labor behind each meal, and the shared joy of food as a connector across cultures and communities.
